What do you mean? Root on 7.3? There is no root at least in the settings.

Yes I also would like to see a root possibility if my bug and feature requests won't get fixed. Generally I would like to stay away from rooting as Im off from Apple because of the need to jailbreak basic usability features. Now I see that flyme looked great in the beginnig but feels akward because of a lot missing settings and bugs. For example the homescreen. On my iPhone 6 4.7inch screen I got 6*4 rows of icons space. With the flyme iOS fake I only get 5*4 rows icon space on a 6 inch screen. No sense for me on the grid spacing decision. Ok no big thing one would think. You go to the settings and you are only allowed to scale the hole system UI (which is a good thing to have for other issues). No icon scaling. No grid setting.
A lot of gesture functions are less than ideal and one is not able to define them. Funny you get less options on the flagship Meizu 16 in this regard which I found out.
If they don't see a need to polish their product as a custumer care program than at least give the customers the possibilty to root the OS to fix the flaws

I would also like this option. And easy way to do this. Curently my only option is to flash chinese firmware and go through the complicated procedure of obtaining root rights. Then i am stuck with chinese firmware, apps that i dont need and no google play store.

Phone is great but it is not Apple. Its Android. Open source i think. Why cant i use my device with full potential (xposed, titanium backup and so).

I would like to invite other meizu 16th users to comment and share their opinion and help get this started.
