TheSilverWolf replied at 2018-07-28 10:13 Yes, indeed there is no way you can enable HAL3 in Meizu M6 note(unless you alter kernel). The overall experience I had in the past with xiaomi devices is very good and better than meizu(in this price range).

You're right, he's asking for camera and battery.
Maybe M6Note's camera is better, but according to me the difference is not enough to prefer Meizu: too many people are disappointed with Meizu, e.g. http://forum.flymeos.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=45309 Battery is the same (4000mAh) but if Flyme is buggy Redmi Note 5's battery life is better. In addition, you can mod Redmi Note 5's camera: https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-5-pro/help/how-to-camera2api-google-camera-t3796631 (as regards M6 Note there's no method to enable HAL3: http://forum.flymeos.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=38425)

TheSilverWolf create on 2018-07-28 08:43 That's actually a comment I can respect. As I said before I'm not a meizu "fanboy", my only problem was the reasons you gave for not buying a meizu phone. Now, which one is better is relevant. For example, he's asking which one is better in camera and battery. So for him of course the best choice is the m6 note(way way better camera). Furthermore, there pretty much the same phones(in terms of specs). Anyway, The point is he must decide what's best for his needs.

Ok, I try to explain better: - Xiaomi updates android version more than Meizu (M2 Note, Pro 5, M3Note didn't receive marshmallow); - Xiaomi takes care about global users more than Meizu (great delays, Flyme 7 available only for Chinese phones, etc, etc,); - Xiaomi updates security patches frequently, Meizu doesn't or does it very rarely; - Xiaomi listens to user suggestions more than Meizu (e.g. http://forum.flymeos.com/thread-5029-1-1.html); - Xiaomi fixes the bugs more than Meizu (ask to M3 Note users, they always had connection problems); - etc, etc. In addition, Xiaomi allows to unlock bootloader, Meizu doesn't (M2 Note is unlockable because of a security flaw, that is a very serious thing, everyone can stole your data). So, what I meant, was: if these things are not important for you, meizu phones are good (maybe not perfect) for you. Simply. However, I can't suggest to buy M6Note instead of Redmi Note 5. Bonus: Also if you like Meizu phones, Redmi Note 5 is better than Meizu M6 Note, you can compare data sheet: https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=8802&idPhone2=8893 Now, are these facts solid enough? Xiaomi is not perfect but according to me is better than Meizu, so I suggest to buy a Xiaomi phone instead a Meizu one.

TheSilverWolf create on 2018-07-28 05:37 Hahaha. I never said it's perfect or that I even like meizu just to be clear. I just wanted to point out that you have no solid facts. Everything I said was facts. What did you say? Nothing ma friend. Complaining is perfect for you, have fun with it

TheSilverWolf create on 2018-07-25 06:46 Furthermore, you can unlock bootloader and you can install custom roms. The only "solid" fact that you have said is that indeed the updates are so delayed (for the global rom)

TheSilverWolf create on 2018-07-25 06:46 You can't possibly expect any company(not only meizu) to kepp supporting their devices for ever. That's absurd, and of course not a solid reason for not buying a phone. My previous meizu was the M2 note and i bought it like 3 years ago.
