Impossible to flash M5s M612HHi,
I have just bought a brand new Meizu M5s global version (M612H). The phone firmware updater app is 6.8.6-2018041820 The phone firmware version is 6.2.0.3G (from 5/04/2017 ?? not sure) I have downloaded for the M5s this version from here http://www.flymeos.com/firmwarelist?modelId=68&type=1 Flyme 6.3.0.0G If I check for OTA updates, there is none. If I pass through the computer to the phone this "update.zip" file, and I execute it with the phone, it seems to works, reboots, and then nothing change, nor upgrade. If I power off, the hold power and vol+, I access to Firmware updater, I press Start, then it says "the firmware is too old". Reboots and nothing change. Also I have tried sp_flash_tool method. I have downloaded many versions of sp_flash_tool. But I haven't got the scatter file (at least, the oficcial one in the 6.3.0.0G didn't work) The last version of sp_flash_tool I tried is SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1820_Win If I use one scatter file that I found over the internet (called MT6753_Android_scatter) I don't see system partition to be re-written and doesn't help me to feel secure about the process. I know the method: - to turn off phone. - Then plug to computer - For 0 to 2 seconds I have MT67xx_preloader (after that, it changes to MTP) - That's the time to flash (but I didn't press start because it is not the original scatter file and that could brick my phone) But, as much as I tried, nothing seems to work. So I'm stuck with 6.2.0.3G with 4 cores always working at max_frec... Can you give me some hints in this regards? Any help will be appreciated PD: now I have tried throught the flyme menu of security to give "super user privileges". Now Im not able nor to flash, nor even to check OTA updates...
