Oberonmeister replied at 2018-05-20 23:52 That's a bummer, IMO neutron player's UI is just bad. I didn't know that you can do that with poweramp, I would be trying it out once my phone arrives. I prefer Poweramp's UI by a long margin too. Thanks for the info dude!

in movie mode Yes, it appears Neutron can work with the Pro 6's DAC although I couldn't be able to tweak it to work flawlessly. No matter what adjustments I do it still has occasional hiccups and clicks. Different hardware delay values make no difference. If you manage to make it work right please tell me what adjustments you made. On the other hand, Poweramp works just fine and in my opinion has better sound overall, maybe because it uses SOX resampler instead of proprietary one used in Neutron. It also has bit perfect mode and IMO better interface. You can try it for a couple of weeks before you decide if you want to buy it without any restrictions, so I suggest you to try. If you wish to try it out, make sure to activate beta-testing mode in play store to get alpha and beta releases because the direct mode that works with DAC is only present in alpha builds starting from 703 for android 6 and 704 for android 7. I'm currently using build 708. Despite developer states it as an alpha version I never had any issues with it, it was rock stable.

Oh Jesus, you too... I just don't get it why so many people are ruining the great audio software this phone has (one of the very few features that actually work fine) with crutches like Dolby Atmos, Viper FX etc. Those are intended to make very cheap phones to sound a bit better, but those with good audio hardware it would only make worse. Like, MUCH worse.
Just get yourself a nice player that works with DAC (PowerAmp for instance, it's also cheap) and enjoy. The sound is so nice and balanced I don't even have to use equalizer. If there is one thing that Meizu is still making right, it is the sound.
Oberonmeister replied at 2018-05-19 03:48 I plan on using flashfire to flash Dolby Atmos

You need to root you phone first with KingRoot. Complete bullshit. It only works on 6.0.1 builds and only SuperSU versions up to 2.79 are working. However, I don't imagine why would you need it for the first place, just use Meizu's normal root, it works just fine.
