[FIXED] Having trouble upgrading to Flyme 6.1.0.0G, I get error firmware corrupt Edited by rudra964 at 2017-10-11 04:22
I have a meizu m3 note 5.1.3.2G. IT'S ROOTED. here's the "About phone" from setting: I cleared data in the recovery mode(volume up+power button) before upgrading. I tried upgrading by the flyme app that comes in the phone, but after the "checking firmware" is completed, the error "firmware corrupt appears". I tried redownloading it and tried again but still the same exact thing. Here's a pic of the error: (this isn't my phone but I have the same error it's also the same chinese words. The only thing different is that my buttons -restart and start- are more cercular.) I tried download the update.zip from the flymeos.com site version 6.1.0.0G for meizu m3 note (same version from flyme app). I am sure it's complete (redownloaded it and tried a few times) and tried updating by clicking on the update in file explorer (it opens flyme) and also in recovery mode BUT the exact same thing happend with the same error firmware corrupt after checking firmware. I always tried checking clear data with system upgrade. Plz help :p

An ID change tutorial from the tutorial section will fix this issue. This generally happens when you buy the phone from an unauthorized reseller and they make unnecessary changes to the phone.

FIXED! I followed this guide to Change official Meizu M3 Note China ROM to Global International.
http://www.gizbeat.com/10366/change-official-meizu-m3-note-china-rom-to-global-international-firmware-corrupt/ I don't know if I had the chinese rom cuz in the setting it said: "Build number: Flyme 5.1.3.2G" not A or Y Anyways, i just followed the guide and after step 10 it rebooted (like it says in the guide), then I checked system upgrade and clear data and it worked (step 11).. no firmware corrupt! What I'm not sure of is what "update.zip" it used.. I had the "update.zip" from the Flyme app in the phone in Disk/Download/Upgrade/Firmware (that's what it shows in File Explorer on the phone) . And then I had the "update.zip" in the SD card (Disk/SD card). Both were the same version (6.1.0.0G) and for meizu m3 note. So I don't know which one the system used to upgrade. I hope this helps anyone :p. | |
