M3S pure android firmware from MEIZUWhy can't MEIZU make happy everybody and provide pure android firmwares as soon as they are available, and then tune Flyme as long as it wants, months and years?

Pure Android firmwares are out of the question for Meizu as they firmly believe that Flyme is better than stock android (which is true to an extent) And Mediatek does create many problems for Meizu as they charge for drivers even for moving from Flyme 5 to Flyme 6. On the other hand, the drivers for stock android firmwares are given free of charge by them. The reason why you see less updates in Flyme is becuase there is a severe lack of developers in the Global team. Chinese team has hundreds of developers and they've already updated the phone to Android 7.0 in the public beta firmwares.

undeflorate replied at 2017-08-29 19:57 Thanks for reply. I thought big delays take place because Meizu has to adjust and test Flyme UI. but many users can live happily without Flyme for a while. Hadware producers should not give release delays, many vendors use their processors as well and publish firmwares much earlier than Meizu.. strange.. | |
