Problems updating to Flyme 6 on M3S, any help appreciated. Edited by User578871200 at 2017-08-14 02:08
Hi guys I am having real problems updating my Meizu M3s to the latest flyme 6 rom. I currently have an M3s chinese model running 5.1.5.2G. But when I press volume + and power I cannot get into recovery mode to update to flyme 6, the phone just vibrates briefly restarts and then boots into the OS as normal. Also if I try to tap on the update.zip or update using the the update app from inside the OS, the phone just restarts and does not update to flyme 6. I have checked that it is the correct Flyme 6 stable G version I am trying to update to. Any ideas how I can update? Thanks

Hello,
The most convenient way is to go to service center, Please don't do any thing by your self otherwise your phone will get totally dead.

can you flash 5.1.5.2G update.zip
if yes.. plzzz update latest flyme 55.1.12.0G first, then flash flyme 6.

back up your data...
make sure update file name is update.zip do once factory reset.. place update.zip in root of internal storage. click on it in Flyme file manager and check clear app data.. if you still face problem, may be recovery of your phone is corrupted or missing.. then Download current os(in your case 5.1.5.2G.) and extract it . then find and copy recovery.img and paste it on internal storage.. then install MobileUncleTool App and flash recovery.. then update your phone..
