zimo94 replied at 2017-04-12 17:29 it because you run on flyme A that mean an Asian version of ROM you cannot just flash it to Global version of ROM you need to change the id first then you can flash a global ROM

i have same problem after tested a beta version 6.7.4.11 A. when i tried to roll back to factory firmware 5.2.11.0G it is said that file was corrupt. i tried many times via recovery boot and still failed. i have no idea how to completly back to the original firmware like when it was shipped. so, i tried root my m5 note, install SuperSU, flashfire, then flash 5.2.11.0 via flashfire. it works. BUT, the recovery mode comes with both chinese and English text menus, and the logo become flyme 6. I remember that the factory firmware only english text appear, and big balloon flyme 5. I'm still figured it out. the logo in recovery mode is flyme 6. but when booting the logo is flyme 5. I think I'm messed up with flyme beta. in root permission settings there's no options to root, it's like the device wasnt unrooted even I flashed. now my m5 note running on flyme 5.2.11.1 G, t is stable. as you said, some app detected the phone as a rooted device, I checked with root checker but the app said that my phone unrooted. it's so annoying :l it's complicated, I has m2 before, but not so difficult to migrate between firmware stable or beta. a lot tutorials out there, but m5 note? nope.
