Hello Meizu and Flyme Fans,
It was an amazing experience to coordinate for the First ever Meizu FAN Meet up here in Silicon Valley of India, Bangalore.The inauguration of the Meizu Flyer club added glory to the grand success of meetup. As everyone knows the attraction of this Fan meet was that Meizu Flyer, first of its kind outside China, is a maiden initiative by Flyme to conduct regular events for its members across colleges in India.

As I was the coordinator for the event, I take pride is sharing with you all the event summary & some key highlights of the day.

A Week B4 The Big Day:
On 11th March, Dr.Mahendra Prashanth, R&D Coordinator informed us about a Grand Fan meet up and the Inauguration that’s going to take place on 18th March in our SJB campus. I was so much excited and was nervous about the plans of meet up and inauguration. Other coordinators also were really helpful in arranging and setting up the venue, doing last minute preparations and ensured their best.

The initial hurdle:
Even though registrations were completed on 17th March itself, the number of unregistered fans was so huge that we had to provide on the spot registration. Finally registrations were completed by 11:00 and Fans were eagerly waiting for the meet to start.
We had around 300+ students attending the event. Our seminar hall was house full :-)

The long waited one:
The Meetup started with the inauguration of the Meizu Flyer Club. Mrs. Jennifer, Head Flyme Overseas Team gave fans an idea about Meizu Flyer Club and its activities after the grand inauguration for which Dr. Puttaraju, Principal SJB Institute of Technology and other Delegates were present.  

Mr. Abhay - Marketing Manager, Meizu India gave fans a presentation on Meizu and amazing devices which are sold in India. We were so blown away to see the design details Meizu takes in building a Smartphone. A lead-in about Flyme OS & its features was given by Mrs. Bhavya, Flyme Overseas Team and she answered the below questions from the fans:

     1. Why the name flyme was chosen?
     2. Why only some of Meizu products are launched in India?
     3. Why the company initially started their venture from manufacturing of MP3 Players?
     4. How flyme is better than stock Android

It’s time for some goodies to be given away:
It was time for some noise and cheer ups in the venue, Flyme T-shirts, earphones and other goodies were given away as part of fun filled quiz. Fans had to run and tell the answer trough mike which was kept at dais. Since boys were much physically fit, it was their time!

Selfie Craze:
Fans who were upset for not getting goodies were given one more chance….Yes! a Selfie contest…No one can beat the Selfie Queens!!!, it was their opportunity and they seized it…

Intro To Beta Testing:
Beta testers shared their experience with the fans. They were really eager to know more about it……
After hearing to them, most of my friends wanted to join in the beta testing group.

Stack Overflow:
Flyme team wanted 30 members for the Beta testing team but we got more than we expected.
94 members were ready for it, pushing the Meizu team to increase the number of steps for the selection of the team. Tiffa, Head Beta Testing Team, gave an expert introduction on beta testing to all 94 members and a Meizu lab was set-up in the college for beta testing.
