Last month we heard that Meizu was working on two improved versions of the Pro 6S it's been selling since May. One was reportedly dubbed Pro 6S, and the other Pro 6S Plus. The latter was apparently going to be powered by Samsung's Exynos 8890 chipset, the same one you can find in the Korean company's S7 line and the note 7.
However, Meizu VP of sales and marketing Li Nan has revealed that his company will not be launching a device sporting Samsung's chip this year. The reason for this has to do with some issues regarding 4G support - though he didn't go into more detail. Li Nan has also said the Pro 7 will arrive in 2017.
So then it's pretty clear that the company's next device will be the Pro 6S, as rumored before. This should become official by the end of the month, boasting a 5.2-inch 1080p touchscreen just like the non-S version, but swapping that model's MediaTek Helio X25 SoC for the Helio P20. After that, before 2016 draws to a close, expect to see two more Blue Charm / m-series handsets from Meizu.
