Since the past couple of days you might have been noticing over the internet about news and mystery surrounding Meizu partnering with the Star Trek series. Well, the suspense and mystery has now been revealed. Yes, Meizu has just revealed a brand new Star Trek Limited collector's edition Meizu M3E.

Star Trek is an American science fiction entertainment francise created by Gene Roddenberry and owned by CBS and Paramount Pictures. The first series, now referred to as The Original Series, debuted in 1966 and ran for three seasons on NBC. Star Trek is noted for its influence on the world outside of science fiction. It has been cited as an inspiration for several technological inventions, including the cell phone and tablet computers.


This year 2016, marks the 50th Anniversary of the Star Trek franchisee and Meizu hopes to pay a tribute with its limited collector's edition M3E to the Star Trek franchise whose imagination and vision inspired the invention of world's first mobile phone.


The Limited collector's edition M3E would be available in the 32GB variant and priced at RMB 1499. It would officially go on sale from September 2 and since it is a limited edition device there would be only a limited amount of stock available for purchase.
