Smartphones have increasingly trickled down all our daily activities and most of us tend to check our devices at least 47 times a day. The multinational consulting firm, Deloitte, conducted a survey of 51,000 respondents across 32 countries revealing that users between ages 18-24 check their phones the most i.e. 86 times a day.

While 89% of the respondents claimed to check their phones within an hour of waking, 81% acknowledged doing so before going to sleep. As many as 48% users check their phone in the middle of their slumber. On the other hand, 47% of the users try to distance themselves from unwanted distractions by silencing notifications or switching off devices at night.

The survey also reveals that app and voice usage has gone up since 2016 and at least 25% customers use unlimited plans.
