A Supermoon occurs when the Moon's closest appearance to the Earth coincides with a New moon or a Full moon. The Supermoon which was seen this week (14 November 2016) was closer to the Earth than it has been since 1948. This made the moon look much bigger and brighter than it usually is.

While all of the social media was flooded with people showing pictures of Supermoon captured by them, here are a few pictures we found over the internet which we thought you might like...
