u cant participate in beta test programmers in future, though u can update it manually with any version but u cant become a beta tester

You will receive OTA updates even after rooting your device. The only difference is that you won't get partial updates like the 50~60 MB OTAs instead you'll receive full sized updates >1GB even for small hotfixes.
