GPS freezes map programHi,
I'm using "Maps.me" on all devices I own earlier (incl. M3s) and first time see this problem. After a few time program looks freezed - redrawing goes normally (position/direction sign is active) but program does not respond on tapping. Pause between tap and reaction is about 3-20 sec. If I switch GPS off - ordinally after same 3-20 sec program becomes active and works right (but if I activate GPS - freezes again), but sometimes becomes freezed totally - and M5Note proposes me to close the program. Same thing is with "GPS test". Program restart does not help - only phone restart. Looks as programs are waiting for GPS data update, and data request is blocking caller process. Bug is not happen in the "Google Maps". Phone is "from the box", about 1 month, no root interventions or some special programs. Firmware is a single stable exists (from the box, no reinstalls). What is it? | |

Thanks, very useful answers, he-he... Found one more bug. Compass. Using it not too frequent, but... All of programs (tested more than 10 apps) shows same thing - magnetic field grows up to ~5500 microT - then falls down to normal value ~40, then grows up to ~5500, then falls down again, then grows up again... Grow/fall speed is about ~10 micoT/sec, level is seems fixed when there is no apps using sensor... Excellent! Of course, N-direction is random. Just to compare - tested my previous M3s (with latest beta firmware now) - magnetic field is floating between 40-80 microT, but direction is same - fully random - but stable ))) Seems there is something with magnetic sensors, and this is common problem... Also found that some compass programs are get freezed for few seconds to show new values and react for tapping, somthing about 0.5 sec normally per 2-3 sec freezed. Not sure is it related to original GPS problem - map apps think should use magnetic sensor data... If it can be solved - please let me know. If sensors are buggy initially - please let me know. Just want to know. Anyway meizu is my way, and I have cool traditional compass... ;-) | |

update after a few time. compass bug is floating, about one month and few reboots - and now I see that it works. gps problem - fully stable bug for now. software that fails - maps.me, gps test; software that works normally - google maps, OsmAnd | |
