If it were easy as you say just upgrade to newest version of Android then you won' t worry about your Samsung flagship not being upgradable. Why do S3 runs 4.4 while Samsung don't provide it? and why is S5 upgradable to version 6? Every Vendor does not upgrade for every phone, for every situation. Android 7 can only be run on Vulkan devices. ( may be 2016 or 2017 devices) If you want latest Android buy a phone that supports Vulkan in which the vendor provide the driver and the firmware. It is easy for Meizu to make the newest firmware, what is the point if can't run on your devices? software by itself is useless.
