I tried clearing data and cache but it's still the same. The older versions of messenger works fine, but I want the new features of the latest version

The older versions of messenger works fine, but I want the new features of the latest version you could try joining the beta tester app for messnenger and see if that works by getting the unreleased update that may fix the problem
