I've never flashed, how do I flash global firmware for Note 3? Edited by kdesouky at 2016-12-07 23:48
Hello all, I appreciate any advice that can be given to my predicament. I purchased a Note 3 while in Guangzhou on a business trip this past October 2016 as my phone suddenly died. I was able to install Google apps while I was there, which was very time consuming, but a lifesaver at last. I'd like to gift this phone to a friend. Whoever, I was hoping I could install the Global Firmware for it before giving it away. I had a couple of questions and wanted some input from the community. 1. Does Meziu officially allow us to install the global firwmare? 2. Is there a chance of bricking the phone by doing so? 3. If I do install it, will the phone receive future firmware updates for the global firmware? 4. Should I install the global firmware now or wait until Flyme 6 comes out? 5. Is there a tutorial here that I can follow to try this? 6. Is there a way to do a backup of the current software, in case something bad happens, I can go into recovery then go back to the old os? I realize I'm asking a lot of questions. If there are other discussions you can point me to that talk about these issues, a link would suffice. Thank you all for taking the time in reading my query. Hi, thanks for your inquiry and the support to MEIZU; but unfortunately, you can't install and Chinese version mobile to G version, please follow www.flyme.cn for further Flyme updates. Best regards!

Hello,
I think you misunderstood. I have the Chinese version and want to install the Global firmware. I've ready many forums stating people flashing the global firmware on their Chinese firmware. Are you saying this isn't what they're doing? | |
