Reliance Jio CEO Mr. Mukesh Ambani has just announced that the Jio preview offer would now be extended till 31st March 2017 as a part of Jio "Happy New Year" offer. Previously, under this offer the subscribers of Reliance Jio sim card were entitled to a preview offer under which they were to get free voice and data services until December this year. Now the new sim card subscribers can get this preview offer until March 2017 while the existing customers woulf have their offer extended for the same period.

Mr. Mukesh Ambani said that while 80% Jio subscribers use less than 1GB per day, the rest burn through disproportionately high amounts which congests the networks for others. Keeping this in mind the company had now set a limit of 1GB per day Fair Usage Policy. Earlier the company had set a limit of upto 4GB per day after which the speeds was throttled for the customer. Along with this he also announced that Jio Cinema, Music and other apps would remain of no charge and there would be no roaming charges within India along with Free calls for life.
