The music stop because for some reason the 3.5 mm jack doesn't feel the connection.
So.. is the cable (but you tell me that happen on home theater and earphone... so I don't think) or the jack?
Try to use another music player to be sure is not a software bug.
Another possibility ...Try to use a bluetooth earphone and see what's happen.
